Visits from Briq
Living urban spaces from scratch
They have repeatedly proven that when it comes to creating living urban spaces, both inside and outside, they are in a class of their own. Briq is among other things known for their work around Empire Bio in Nørrebro, which today is one of Copenhagen’s most visited places for citizens of Copenhagen who want to go out and enjoy a bit of the city’s buzz. They are also involved in the Aarhus Street Quarter in Nordhavn and most recently in Carlsberg City, where they are raised to create life and a sense of community.
At this meeting, we will be visited by Christina Lykke, project director at Briq, who will share her experiences with what it takes to create urban spaces that people in the local area want to use. Happiness works with a focus on retail, outdoor physical space and, not least, the establishment of communities in urban areas where there is no tradition for it.
